Bulstrode Park Hotel, Gerrard’s Cross

Mecserve has been appointed to provide building services and sustainability consultancy for the proposed extension and refurbishment to a Grade II listed building within Gerrard’s Cross, Buckinghamshire. The site was formerly used as offices and staff quarters for WEC UK, and will now be developed by Bulstrode Park Ltd to create a 5-Star hotel.

The existing buildings will be supplemented with a spa and conferencing facilities as well as additional accommodation.

The site ultimately will provide 60 hotel rooms and a number of suites to a high specification, as well as all supporting amenities and back-of-house areas.

The services strategy has to be attuned to the Grade II nature of the site and will be sympathetic to the existing building.

Services distribution and equipment locations shall be detailed to have minimal impact to the listed buildings while considering capital and operating expenditure, and ongoing ease of maintenance.

  • Grade II listed building
  • Restricted headroom in many areas and ornate ceilings/finishes proving a challenge for services distribution and equipment locations
