Perceval House, Ealing

Mecserve is to provide sustainability services, vertical transportation and building services design for a large mixed-use scheme on behalf of Ealing Council and Galliford Try.

Ealing Council’s existing offices will be demolished to make way for a new 120,000 ft² commercial office building, with 470 new-build residential apartments to the rear of the site. To accommodate the apartments, the existing primary substation will be relocated to the basement of the new commercial office building.

Initially, the existing offices will be partly demolished with existing tenants in the remainder of the building. This allows for the new office development to begin construction without the need for off-site tenant relocation.

Waste heat from the primary substation shall be reclaimed and utilised for hot water and heating of the office/residential apartments.

  • Relocation of primary substation on site to the basement of the new council office building
  • Heat reclamation from the primary transformers to serve the onsite heating and hot water demand
  • BIM level 2
