LaSalle has commissioned Mecserve to assist with the refurbishment and extension of 60 London Wall – a mixed-use building in a prime location in the City of London clad in polished granite and Portland Stone. Mecserve are providing both building services and sustainability services.
With a contemporary new façade, the design will help rejuvenate the 320,000 ft² building whilst respecting Finsbury Circus constraints. Existing cores are being removed with new cores installed. This opens up the space and makes maximum use of what is available on each floor. Additionally, large terracing is being introduced on the (new) upper levels.
AC systems consist of 4-pipe energy-efficient fan-coil units fed from central chillers/cooling towers. There is centrally distributed minimum fresh air ventilation.
With high levels of servicing (dense occupation, high fresh air rates, high power, etc.) as well as dealer provisions on two floors, 60 London Wall will be able to compete with other similar sized commercial developments both now and in the future.
