Supriya has a strong interest in sustainability issues surrounding the built environment. She trained and qualified as an architect at Manipal Institute of Technology, India. She holds a Masters in Housing from Bartlett School of Graduate Studies, University College London and also a Masters in Corporate Environmental Management from Centre for Environmental Strategy, University of Surrey. She is a qualified and registered BREEAM Accredited Professional, BREEAM assessor, Code Assessor, ISO 14001 assessor and an Associate member of the IEMA.
Supriya’s experience to date has been carrying out environmental assessments for new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects in the commercial and residential sector as well as writing sustainability & energy strategies for planning applications. She has also carried out energy modelling under SAP and has a keen interest in energy efficiency, passive design, integration of renewable technology to meet London Plan energy targets, post occupancy evaluation and energy management. She also has experience as an office EMS coordinator which involved carrying out internal audits of ISO 14001 compliant corporate EMS (Environmental Management Systems) for external certification. Supriya continues to grow her experience at Mecserve in delivering sustainable and energy efficient buildings; which in turn helps in contributing to a sustainable built environment and also helps her to ‘do her bit’ to save the planet.
Outside of work, Supriya enjoys travelling, photography, reading and cooking. She is also a practitioner of yoga.
